Accessories protect the blower, control the system and make operating conditions easier to verify. Match accessories to the blower model, connection size and operating mode before ordering. Most installations need at least an inlet filter and a relief valve.
| Purpose | Accessory Types |
|---|---|
| Keep debris out | Inlet filters, filter silencers, replacement filter elements |
| Manage moisture | Moisture separators |
| Protect the blower | Pressure and vacuum relief valves, pressure-regulating valves |
| Monitor operation | Pressure and vacuum gauges, flowmeters |
| Reduce noise | Inlet, outlet and inline mufflers; sound-attenuating enclosures |
| Control the system | Variable-frequency-drive packages and diverter valves where compatible |
Follow the Manufacturer’s accessory and installation guidance. Relief valves protect against excessive system restriction, and on some models or arrangements they are required rather than optional. The Manufacturer specifies the relief valve at the outlet on pressure systems and at the inlet on vacuum systems. For accurate readings, the Manufacturer specifies the gauge roughly three pipe diameters from the blower flange, the relief valve the same distance from the gauge, and elbows at least five pipe diameters away, with no fittings in between.
| Collection | Description |
|---|---|
| Filters | Inlet and inline filters and replacement elements that keep debris out of the impeller. Match to blower connection size and airflow, or go one size larger, do not undersize. |
| Mufflers & Enclosures | Inlet, outlet and inline mufflers and sound-attenuating enclosures for installations near occupied space where additional sound deadening is desired. |
| Relief Valves | Pressure and vacuum relief valves sized to the blower and setpoint. Required on some models. |
| Gauges | Pressure and vacuum gauges so the operating point can be verified in the field rather than assumed. |
| Flowmeters | Airflow meters for systems where delivered air needs to be monitored. |
| Moisture Separators | Separators for installations where condensate or carryover is likely. |
| Controls & Drives | Variable-frequency-drive packages and diverter valves, where compatible with the selected model. |
